1. EARLY ARRIVAL
For all events, particularly wedding ceremonies, you, the artist, must be set up and ready to play 30 minutes before the scheduled start time to ensure a smooth and timely performance. If you cannot meet this requirement or anticipate a delay, you must contact OMG immediately. Please review the map or google the address for directions and timeline provided by the planners in advance to account for potential traffic delays, parking, or any unforeseen events.
2. APPEARANCE AND ATTIRE
All clothing must be clean, pressed, and professionally presented. Men are required to bring both a bow tie and a solid black tie. Women must wear classy, event-appropriate attire suited to the occasion, with hair and makeup neatly styled to maintain a polished and professional appearance.
3. CLIENT CALLS
Most clients do not require introductory calls. However, some may request a brief call lasting up to 15 minutes, while others, in rare instances, may require online video conference calls. If you cannot accommodate this, please decline the gig.
4. PAYMENT AND CONFIDENTIALITY
All payments will be processed directly through OMG. Please do not discuss your pay or rates with colleagues, event staff, guests, or anyone else at the event. Artists are typically paid approximately 4 hours before the event via Zelle or Venmo. If you have not received your payment after the gig, text me right away.
Events involving singers or special collaborations may require rehearsals. These will be scheduled via Zoom whenever possible, but in-person rehearsals may be necessary. Additional pay may apply if rehearsals occur outside the standard arrival window. Rehearsals within that window are covered at no extra cost. Please remain flexible, especially with last-minute changes.
Extra time is calculated in 15-minute increments, rounded to the nearest quarter hour. For example, if you play 8 extra minutes, we may extend the set to finish a full song and bill the client for the full 15 minutes. Your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
Please do not stop playing abruptly, as it can leave a poor impression. Finishing a song—even if it’s a minute or two over—creates a smoother, more professional experience. We do not offer refunds for clients who book a full set but end early, such as shorter ceremonies.
Clients often show appreciation with tips, but these are not guaranteed and should not be expected. If a client wishes to tip you directly at the event, you may provide your Zelle or Venmo information. OMG does not collect tips on behalf of artists.
OMG will try to ensure clients cover parking costs. However, some may decline. If we ask you for a quote, always include parking fees. If a client ignores follow-ups about unpaid parking after the event, we are unable to pursue collections. Your total compensation will reflect parking—whether free or paid.
5. LAST MINUTE – CHANGES
You are expected to maintain flexibility to ensure the event runs smoothly and to prevent complications. Minor last-minute changes will be accommodated at no additional cost. However, significant changes may require contract amendments and result in additional fees to the client, which will be reflected in your compensation.
6. COMPANY REPRESENTATION
When working for OMG, you are a company representative, and it is essential to maintain professionalism and uphold OMG’s reputation. Distributing personal business cards or directly soliciting clients for individual services is strictly prohibited. All client interactions, bookings, and communications must be conducted through OMG’s official channels or websites. Failure to comply with this policy may result in the immediate termination of all engagements with OMG.
7. LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
Artists are always solely responsible for their personal safety and equipment. By participating in any engagement, you agree to release OMG from all liability related to personal injury, loss, or damage to equipment.
8. PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT & SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
At OMG, we value professionalism, team morale, and protecting the reputation of our company and clients.
We prioritize working with artists who:
-
Contribute to a positive company culture
-
Offer constructive feedback
-
Stay flexible and resilient during challenges
-
Support their teammates
-
Maintain professionalism with clients
-
Act in the best interest of the company
We do not continue working with artists who publicly speak negatively about fellow musicians, team members, event partners, or OMG.
Additionally, OMG reserves the right to restrict social media posts about specific events. If a client requests privacy for any reason, artists must refrain from posting event-related content before or after the event until further notice. This helps protect both our clients and the company from potential legal or reputational issues.
If you have any concerns or suggestions about other musicians, clients, contractors, or OMG, please share them privately using the feedback section at the bottom of this page.
9. NO DRINKING OR EATING AT THE VENUE
Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited while on duty. Most venues do not allow vendors to drink. To maintain professionalism, please do not eat or drink unless offered by the event planner or client (not by guests). A vendor meal may be requested only if you perform at the reception for 3 or more hours.
10. ACCEPTING THE GIG AND CANCELLATION
If OMG sends you a calendar invite for a future booking and you have yet to accept it within two weeks, our system automatically prompts us to cancel the invitation and offer the opportunity to other artists. If you are awaiting confirmation for another gig, please let us know as soon as possible.
If You Cancel:
You must give at least 2 weeks’ notice. Cancellation is not always approved.
If OMG Cancels:
If OMG cancels due to a client issue, we’ll try to rebook you. If not, you won’t be paid, since no performance happened.
If the Client Cancels:
- We’ll let you know ASAP.
- If they cancel within 2 weeks, you get 50% pay.
- If the cancellation is due to illness, death, or emergency, we’ll reschedule. You’ll be fully paid when it happens.
Thank you for your attention to these guidelines and your continued professionalism. By staying fair, flexible, and team-oriented, we can uphold Ocdamia Music Group’s reputation and secure steady work opportunities for everyone.
