Mathias and Lyle are outstanding musicians and cousins sure to delight you and your guests with a live performance. Mathias has over 30 years of violin training in the areas of orchestral, contemporary, jazz, fusion, rock, trance, drum & bass and blues. He is a graduate from the Berklee College of Music with a B.M. in Film Scoring and has additional studies from the San Francisco Conservatory and California State University, Fullerton. On-screen, Mathias has performed and appeared for video showcased at the Grand Ole Opry and has opened up for prestigious names such as Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Josh Turner, and the legendary Glen Campbell.
Lyle, is a graduate of Musician’s Institute, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in guitar performance. Lyle has worked with many seasoned performers and is proficient in many styles. His primary instrument is guitar, but being a multi-instrumentalist, he has been a sought-after instrumentalist in the OC and LA music scene for quite some time. His skill sets have landed him in major studios with Grammy award-winning artists such as Timothy Bloom, V. Bozemen, Faith Evans, and more. In addition to being a session musician, he produces and engineers record for artists and commercial/television music. Currently, he performs at well-known venues throughout Southern California, he performs events with his top 40 groups, performs for wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours, tours his original music, and teaches a few select students.

There are a lot of instruments that go well with the violin, such as the piano, cello, and guitar. Our Modern Duo features a unique combination of violin and guitar music. Our duo mostly plays acoustic violin and guitar music that is both soothing and romantic.
There are a variety of instruments that sound good together. However, one instrument duet that has been popular with our clients is the Modern Duo. A unique violin and guitar duo, our Modern Duo produces the perfect harmony of classical and acoustic music.
The Modern Duo is a two-member group with a violinist and guitarist. Thus, they do not need a large amount of space. We do recommend that a space that fits two chairs, two music stands, speakers, and amplifiers be allotted for our Modern Duo.
Technically speaking, contemporary music refers to any music created after the year 1945. However, it is loosely used to refer to music that is current and relevant. For example, our Modern Duo specializes in modern, contemporary music, meaning they often play pieces that are current instead of classical pieces.

- Choose a musician, group, or package and ask for a draft contract. For ceremony & cocktail bookings, you may opt to book online through our interactive tool. Refer to our calendar to check for an available slot for your event date.
- Secure the date by depositing a down payment of 50% through our interactive tool and pay via credit card, venmo, paypal, or send us a check.
Your booking is automatically confirmed upon receipt of the deposit OR signed contract!
Please note: If we don’t receive the signed contract OR the required deposit within 7 days from the date of the contract, we will need to re-confirm the artist(s) availability again.
Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a username and password to access our portal. You may now create your custom wedding playlist via our interactive portal.
Please use our interactive tool to choose among thousands of songs in our playlist. There you can choose songs for your ceremony and cocktail hour.

We understand that at times, the unexpected happens. Our policy on cancellations are written below:
- For cancellations 30 days before the event, you will receive a 100% refund of the deposit amount.
- For cancellations less than 30 days before the event, the deposit is non-refundable.
Please Provide Shade/Umbrella
- We require a shade/umbrella for our musicians, instruments, and audio equipment. This is due to the extreme sensitivity of musical instruments to changes in temperature and exposure to sunlight and humidity. In some cases exposure to elements may lead to irreparable damage to the instruments.
Please Prepare a Covered/Dry Location in Case of Rain
- We require a covered/dry location for our musicians, instruments, and audio equipment in case of rain. Exposure to water or humidity is damaging to our musical instruments and audio equipment. In some cases exposure to elements may lead to irreparable damage to the instruments.
- We love playing outdoors but in lower temperatures please provide a heater for our musicians. Our musicians remain outdoors for more than an hour with an additional hour to set up before the appointment. The heater will keep them warm before and during their performance.

OMG! Delivered! Our wedding was a non-stop party and I could not have been more happy with going with Ocdamia Music Group. We hired their modern duo (guitar and violin) for ceremony and their full band for reception and it was the best decision from start to finish. Live music makes such a huge difference and we LOVED how our wedding played out. We had Tina and Tyler as the singers and our guests couldn’t stop raving about their electric energy! They were so interactive with the crowd and we just loved it. At one point I realize I was dancing so much that I have not eaten or spent much time with my new husband — but I didn’t care because I was having an amazing time on the dance floor. From the getgo, Margie the owner has been a real pleasure to work with and was so responsive to everything, including irrelevant issues like my wedding dress catastrophe. I wish I had more time to stay around our musicians to enjoy the music that they played on our wedding day because the omg duo of Mathias and Levi sounded excellent! Our guests agreed and everyone seemed to enjoy that ambiance. I’ve been in touch with Margie ever since before the pandemic hit and reached out again after the government reopened. She was very helpful and patient during the whole process. Everything worked out great and everyone was completely on task and professional which we totally appreciated and needed on such a day where so many other things can not go according to plan. We were glad that we were able depend on them for our special day and their performance exceeded our expectations.

I recommend Ocdamia Music Group, and specifically Margie (the Founder/Operations Manager) and the duo Mathias and Lyle WITHOUT RESERVATION. We hired them for our wedding pre-ceremony music, ceremony procession, and cocktail hour.
After a prolonged and stressful search for live musicians for my wedding, 2 months before the big day and losing hope, I reached out to OMG and Margie was swift to reply. She was incredibly great to work with, providing advice on the appropriate musicians and providing ample links to example videos. Margie is an advocate for both brides and her musicians — creating an ideal go-between person. She is incredibly organized.
Mathias and Lyle were wonderful. Mathias spoke with us on the phone in advance. He expressed being open to learning new songs, but this was not necessary because they had a range of song genres on their set list. He brainstormed with me regarding which songs to use for my procession, etc. Guests described the musicians as creating a great environment during cocktail hour. I found them extremely professional to work with.
