The term acoustic violin refers to the traditional wooden violin that is often used for classical music. It is aptly named acoustic violin because of how the sound is produced. In contrast, an electric violin is often made of a solid material that relies on an amplifier or speaker to be audible.
An electric violin has several differences compared to an acoustic violin as to how it is played. Often, the acoustic violin is shaped differently and could weigh lighter or heavier than an electric violin. Also, the feeling of playing an electric violin differs from the acoustic violin as it has less sound vibrations and is less able to respond to nuances in bowing. The ease if playing an electric violin varies from player to player.
The sound of an electric violin differs from an acoustic violin. Acoustic violins create a sound that is influenced by its hollow structure, creating a sweet sound or a deep sound depending on how it is made. An electric violin, on the other hand, is connected to an external speaker or amplifier and this enables the player to change the sound of the violin or add effects, making it sound like an entirely different instrument.

- Secure the date by depositing a down payment of 50% through our interactive tool and pay via credit card, venmo, paypal, or send us a check.
Your booking is automatically confirmed upon receipt of the deposit OR signed contract!
Please note: If we don’t receive the signed contract OR the required deposit within 7 days from the date of the contract, we will need to re-confirm the artist(s) availability again.
Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a username and password to access our portal. You may now create your custom wedding playlist via our interactive portal.

We understand that at times, the unexpected happens. Our policy on cancellations are written below:
- For cancellations 30 days before the event, you will receive a 100% refund of the deposit amount.
- For cancellations less than 30 days before the event, the deposit is non-refundable.
Please Provide Shade/Umbrella
- We require a shade/umbrella for our musicians, instruments, and audio equipment. This is due to the extreme sensitivity of musical instruments to changes in temperature and exposure to sunlight and humidity. In some cases exposure to elements may lead to irreparable damage to the instruments.
Please Prepare a Covered/Dry Location in Case of Rain
- We require a covered/dry location for our musicians, instruments, and audio equipment in case of rain. Exposure to water or humidity is damaging to our musical instruments and audio equipment. In some cases exposure to elements may lead to irreparable damage to the instruments.Â
- We love playing outdoors but in lower temperatures please provide a heater for our musicians. Our musicians remain outdoors for more than an hour with an additional hour to set up before the appointment. The heater will keep them warm before and during their performance.Â

Hired Ocdamia for my June wedding. The owner Margie was very easy to get ahold of and responded quickly to all emails. They have an online portal to help plan your day. We hired Grace as an electric violinist. She was punctual, looked nice and played all music as requested. The only downside is that we did not get to meet or speak to the musician prior so it was a lot of fingers crossed. I would hire again.

I could not have been happier with the service that I received from OMG!! I initially booked another violinist but he unexpectedly canceled a couple months prior to our wedding. I came across Ocdamia Music Group through some FB recommendations and I thank my lucky stars! Margie was stellar in answering all of my questions (and I had a lot LOL) and made sure that it was everything that I had hoped for. Grace was our violinist on the day of and she did an amazing job!! She arrived early, dressed professionally and is so talented!! Our guests loved her music and it sets a beautiful tone on our big day. The reviews are all true! I hired Grace as a soloist for my wedding ceremony. OH MY GOD- it was so beautiful! I keep re watching the video and listening to her play All of Me by John Legend as I walked down the aisle. Every other song she played was pure perfection as well.It’s an excellent idea to entertain guests as they’re waiting for the ceremony to begin. And Ocdamia Music Group was SUPER responsive, which is really helpful. One of the best touches I added to my wedding. Guests gave so many compliments and raved about the violinist!!!

Amazing! I wanted a violinist that could play all genre’s of music and couldn’t be happier with Grace, from the Ocdamia Music Group for our cocktail hour at our reception. I was in contact with Margie, the founder/operations manager throughout the planning process and was so impressed by how promptly she would respond back to any questions I had, even when I e-mailed her during after hours. I got to choose the songs from the provided repertoire on their website and were even allowed to request songs for her to learn. I wasn’t able to see much of her performance, being the bride and being being pulled in different directions. Luckily, my sister snapped a few videos and I was so impressed by her performance and professionalism. Thank you Margie and Grace for adding something extra special to our cocktail hour and for your assistance during the wedding planning!
