A classical violin is also called an acoustic violin. It is a traditional instrument used in a classical string quartet, made out of wood with a hollow body. Classical violins are often amplified using a pickup or microphone and it differs from an electrical violin which is directly connected to an amp.

An electric violin cannot be played without an amplifier. When not connected to a power supply, an electric violin will produce a softer sound compared to an acoustic violin. However, an acoustic violin can be amplified by attaching a pickup or microphone to it.

A good musician may have the following desirable qualities: talent and expertise, professional behavior, and good interpersonal skills. It is important that a musician is talented and has adequate musical education and training. Also, a musician must behave professionally as it will greatly affect the performance. Furthermore, having good interpersonal skills will help everyone in the crowd have a wonderful time.

Ms. Wu’s repertoire includes classical music, rock, reggae, jazz and contemporary music. Classically-trained at a young age, she can play a variety of musical styles, making her one of the best classic and modern violinists in Los Angeles. When you hire Ms. Wu for an event, she will be able to play songs from different genres.

Please Provide Shade/Umbrella

  • We require a shade/umbrella for our musicians, instruments, and audio equipment. This is due to the extreme sensitivity of musical instruments to changes in temperature and exposure to sunlight and humidity. In some cases exposure to elements may lead to irreparable damage to the instruments.

Please Prepare a Covered/Dry Location in Case of Rain

  • We require a covered/dry location for our musicians, instruments, and audio equipment in case of rain. Exposure to water or humidity is damaging to our musical instruments and audio equipment. In some cases exposure to elements may lead to irreparable damage to the instruments.
 Please Provide Heater
  • We love playing outdoors but in lower temperatures please provide a heater for our musicians. Our musicians remain outdoors for more than an hour with an additional hour to set up before the appointment. The heater will keep them warm before and during their performance.

Five Crowns, Corona Del Mar, California

My wife and I booked a violinist for our wedding and it couldn’t have gone better. There was a wide selection of songs to choose from, and they were even willing to learn songs that weren’t on the list. If you want to give your wedding an extra special touch, I would definitely recommend going with Ocdamia.

Loved working with Margie and this group of musicians. Margie is very professional and attentive. She made everything seamless. I had booked her for my niece’s wedding. So pleased with the experience! Appreciate her attention to details and responsiveness. Don’t hesitate, book them!

My husband and I booked a solo Violinist for our 10/20/17 outdoor wedding, and it was honestly the best decision we made. I debated on just booking the dj a couple hours extra but deciding to book the violinist for the ceremony and cocktail hour. It added that extra touch of elegance and we couldn’t be happier. If you’re on the fence about it just go for it you won’t regret it.
